This project was targeted at closed clients that were in default on their loans to motivate them to call for modification program. The piece had to stand out from the rest the client's mail so Neenah Red Pepper paper was chosen with a metallic ink on the outside of the piece to create interest while the rest of the piece is a one color print, just white.
This is the outside detail of the metallic ink.
In order to be unique as a self mailer the piece unfolds in specific to continue to entice the client to read through.
This a detail of the white ink on the Neenah paper. Tepel Brothers printing experimented by laying down 4 layers of ink to achieve the boldness of the white.
As the client unfolds the piece the narrative continues. At this point a Visa gift is presented as well as the total amount the client could receive by calling. The gift card was utilized to hide the disclaimer for this campaign.
The copy was short and punchy because the space was limited and to really direct the client to take action.
To achieve the shadow effect, Tepel Brothers printed 2 coats of white ink instead of 4. The natural soy based inks soaked into the uncoated paper allowing the paper color to show through. Tepel Brothers was able to perfect this technique in later prints and get a crispy color with only one pressing.
The narrative continues but the call to action and phone number is always present.
